Accessibility has been the primary driver of growth in the Energy Corridor as most major companies are moving to, and expanding in areas that are closest to their employment bases. Eldridge Oaks is positioned on the northwest corner of Eldridge Parkway and Enclave Parkway, approximately one mile south of Interstate 10, one and one-half miles east of State Highway 6, three and one-half miles west of West Sam Houston Parkway, and approximately twenty minutes west of the Houston Central Business District. This strategic location provides excellent access to Houston's primary business centers as well as some of the most prominent residential areas in the city. Interstate 10 is the major east/west thoroughfare serving the area and provides direct access to the Houston Central Business District and is currently in the process of being widened to 24 lanes. State Highway 6 is a major north/south thoroughfare in the area and is heavily developed with a variety of retail and commercial businesses. Sam Houston Parkway is a tollway loop system which encircles the city of Houston and provides quick access to both George Bush Intercontinental Airport as well as Hobby Airport from the west side of town. |
